Are people really using this stuff?

In a word: YES! According to CIBC, IN-STAT/MDR IDC, over 280 billion text messages were sent in the US in 2004. That number is up 192% year-over-year for since 2002.
In a recent survey by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, over 34 million Americans are now text messaging. We believe this is just the beginning. According to our growth projections, over 300 billion text messages will be sent in 2008.

A recent poll of marketers by the CMO Council and the Promotion Marketing Association shows that 19.8 percent of marketers across industries have used or are considering using SMS messaging in their campaigns.

Will this service work with all cell phone carriers?

It is our continuing effort to ensure that this service works with all carriers. Currently, we cover 99% of the market with our relationships that include: Alltel, AT&T, Boost Mobile, CellularOne, Dobson, Sprint PCS, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and Verizon Wireless.

Is this spam?

No. Cell phone users will only be able to receive your coupons if they opt-in to receive them, by sending a 1-word code to our special five-digit phone number. Furthermore, we append "Reply STOP to unsubscribe." to every message you send out, to ensure the user knows how to unsubscribe.


Does this cost the subscriber (my customer) anything?

We do not reverse-bill the recipient of the text messages. However, depending on the customer's mobile phone plan, standard messaging rates may apply. We have no control over, and do not profit from, these charges in any way.

Can my customers subscribe from my web site?

Yes, we will provide you a form for your web site that will automatically subscribe your clients. However, to ensure that people are willingly being added to the service, they will receive a verification message on their phone shortly after filling in the web form.

What messages do I pay for?

You only pay for messages that you send to your subscribers. You do not pay for any incoming requests to subscribe or cancel from your service. Those incoming requests (and any double opt-ins required by their carriers) are paid for by CouponZap
